Adam Aron, the CEO of the world's largest movie theater chain, saw his pay at AMC rise nearly 30 percent year-over-year.

The exhibition giant saw its net loss grow as overall revenue jumped 14 percent to $1.59 billion during the second quarter.

The exhibitor is also postponing its foray into the live concert business given the box office rebound.
