I can only imagine all the emotions the Islanders were going through this week because, as a viewer, I’m also exhausted. From tears to smiles to heart-racing confrontations, this week had plenty of highs and lows that left fans on the edge of their seats.
As Casa Amor, the ultimate Love Island USA test, came to an end on Friday, it was finally revealed which Islanders decided to recouple with bombshells and who chose to stick with their original partner. And though there were some sweet reunions, there were also some very heated confrontations and heartbreak. And that tension continued into movie night, where secrets didn’t remain secrets for very long.
This all came after week three’s drama, which saw Sol and Gabriel dumped from the villa, and then the boys head off to Casa Amor. With six new girl bombshells, the boys definitely had their fun, while the girls got to explore new connections with a whopping 12 new boy bombshells.
Below, The Hollywood Reporter is recapping the standout moments from week four of Love Island USA season eight. And check out all of THR‘s season eight coverage and interviews here, as well as the week one, week two and week three recaps.

Casa Amor Return Feeling Like ‘Bad Girls Club’
Logo textThe ultimate Love Island test came to an end during episode 21, when the boy and girl Islanders had to decide to either remain in the previous couples before Casa Amor or couple up with one of the new bombshells. And with the return from Casa Amor being one of the most anticipated moments of the season, this year was no different, delivering quite the explosive recoupling.
I’ll start with the good news first: Fan-favorites Trinity and Bryce had a heartfelt reunion after deciding to stay with each other. Caleb and Jen, who both went into Casa Amor single, also recoupled with new bombshells Jaiden and Gal, respectively.
As for Kayda and Zach, they also chose to recouple, even after Kayda explored a connection with bombshell Chay and Zach got to know bombshell Alannah (who was ultimately removed from Casa Amor after resurfaced videos). Melanie also shocked viewers when she recoupled with Sincere, despite igniting a spark with bombshell Corey. Sincere also chose Melanie, rather than bringing back Amora, whom he was getting to know in Casa (don’t worry, she still finds her way back into the villa, but more on that later).
Here’s where things got heated. Corbin got literally booed when he re-entered the villa with bombshell Parmida. Even though Kenzie also chose to recouple with new bombshell Dylan, the OG girls still called out Corbin for his disrespectful comments during the “Hearts on Fire” challenge (which the villa girls got to watch via livestream).
Tensions only rose when it was Aniya’s turn to decide to recouple with KC or choose one of the new boys, as she had been developing a connection with bombshell Carl. In a shocking moment, she decided to stick with KC; however, KC returned to the villa with new bombshell Tierra. This led to a fiery confrontation between the OG girls, specifically Aniya and Trinity, and Tierra when she started defending KC. The moment was so intense that after, Aniya asked what likely every viewer was also thinking: “Is this Bad Girls Club?”

Nothing Sweeter Than Revenge
Logo textThe Islanders saw the ultimate hot girl, rapper Megan Thee Stallion, make a special guest appearance as host of the cake-themed “Hot Girl Bakery” challenge. The game featured three rounds, including the castmembers playing musical chairs with cakes as well as getting revenge by throwing pies and shooting frosting at their fellow Islanders.
Lastly, two Islanders — Zach and Kenzie — went head-to-head, digging through a massive cake using only their faces until they found a hidden note that read “Revenge is Sweet.” The group was then surprised when two previously dumped Casa Amor bombshells — Carl and Amora — made their grand return by popping out of giant cakes.

Movie Night Reveals All (Almost)
Logo textThe fans called and Love Island USA finally answered with the fan-favorite movie night.
During episode 25, the Islanders sat down with their candy and popcorn; however, it’s safe to say not everyone loved what was playing on the big screen. The cast got to witness a handful of video montages revealing some honest truths, including how Zach explored Alannah in Casa Amor, how KC moved in Casa with Sydney and Tierra, how Aniya initially got to know Carl and all of Sincere’s lies when he was exploring Sol and Melanie at the same time.
The video clips definitely left the girls shocked, leading to some heated confrontations between the boys and girls. However, there are several more clips to be seen, and they will all play out during movie night part two on Thursday night during episode 26.

The Couples (For Now)
Logo textIt’s safe to say the Islanders were tested in more ways than one this week, and whether they passed or failed, that’s up for discussion depending on the couple. Even through all the highs and lows, smiles and tears, some connections are continuing to get stronger, such as Trinity and Bryce making it official by becoming girlfriend and boyfriend.
Fans will just have to keep watching to see what happens next for these season eight pairs, but with only a few weeks remaining, they shouldn’t get too comfortable as I’m sure there’s some more fan votes and dumpings around the corner. Here are the current pairings as week four comes to an end:
- Tierra and KC
- Kenzie and Dylan
- Parmida and Corbin
- Kayda and Zach
- Melanie and Sincere
- Trinity and Bryce
- Caleb and Jaiden
- Jen and Gal
- Aniya (single)
- Amora (single)
- Carl (single)
