For cord-cutters, local news coverage can be streamed live on any TV streaming service that carries said networks, namely DirecTV (with a five-day free trial), Fubo (with a five-day free trial), Hulu + Live TV and Sling (area dependent). Learn more about each option (and their free trials) below.

Learn more about each plan option, including how to build your own channel lineup (starting at just $19.99 per month), at directv.com. Be sure to check local channel availability as it can vary by region.

Fubo
Watch your preferred local news station (except for local NBC affiliates given the carriage dispute) with a subscription to Fubo, which offers a five-day free trial for new subscribers. After the trial, plans start at $45.99 for the first month and $55.99 monthly thereafter.

Sling
While Sling TV is one of the most wallet-friendly alternatives to traditional cable, it’s important to note that local channel availability depends on your TV market. L.A. does, however, have access to local channels on Sling, namely ABC, FOX and NBC. Note that Sling does not offer CBS access in any location.
Visit Sling.com to check local channel availability and package options, starting as low as $4.99 per day or $19.99 per month.

Hulu + Live TV
Watch major local broadcast networks for free with a three-day trial to Hulu + Live TV. Every subscription comes bundled with Disney+ and ESPN+, and starts at $89.99 per month.
