\nThis Is Us<\/em> star Chrissy Metz will make her Broadway debut this summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tMetz will join the cast of & Juliet<\/em> as Angelique, the nurse and close friend to Juliet in the revised musical version of the Shakespearean classic. She joins the show June 18 for a limited engagement through Sept. 13, 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tMetz takes over the role from Jeannette Bayardelle, who will play her final performance June 14. & Juliet <\/em>opened in November 2022 and will celebrate its 1500th performance at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on June 23, 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe musical, created by David West Read, reimagines the Shakespearean tale as if Juliet had not killed herself and finds a new life post-Romeo. The show is set to a score of pop songs from Max Martin, including \u201cSince U Been Gone,\u201d \u201cRoar,\u201d \u201cI Want It That Way\u201d and \u201cConfident.\u201d The production is directed by Luke Sheppard with choreography byJennifer Weber.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m so excited to be making my Broadway debut, and to do it in a show that is this joyful feels like an absolute dream come true,\u201d Metz said. \u201cI think some of the hardest working, most creative people work in live theater and well, Broadway scares me to bits, which is why I have always wanted to do it\u201d
She joins a cast that includes Gianna Harris as \u2018Juliet,\u2019 James Monroe Iglehart as \u2018Lance,\u2019 Alison Luff as \u2018Anne,\u2019 Drew Gehling as \u2018Shakespeare,\u2019 Michael Iv\u00e1n Carrier as \u2018May,\u2019 Bayardelle as \u2018Ang\u00e9lique,\u2019 Liam Pearce as \u2018Romeo,<\/em>\u2019 and Nathan Levy as \u2018Fran\u00e7ois\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n
