He was 69.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/uspropertymoves.com\/?p=703\">You\u2019re Finally Going to Be Able to Buy That \u2018Heated Rivalry\u2019 Fleece Jacket \u2014 for a Good Cause<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\tDeny, who played JVMA CEO and fashion boss Louis de L\u00e9on in the Lily Collins-starring drama, died on May 25 after a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), his family confirmed in a statement to TF1, the French broadcaster.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cIt is with deep emotion that we announce the passing of Pierre Deny which occurred this Monday following a sudden and severe case of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), also known as Charcot\u2019s Disease,\u201d Deny\u2019s daughters said in their statement.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tNews of his death comes nearly a week after Netflix announced <em>Emily in Paris<\/em> will end after its sixth season now shooting in Greece. Season five ended with Emily choosing to return to Paris after opening a Rome office of the marketing agency she works for and starting (and ending) a new romantic relationship.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tDeny was a veteran actor in France, having began in theater in the 1980s before becoming a mainstay in domestic TV series like <em>Julie Lescaut <\/em>and the soap opera <em>Demain Nous Appartient<\/em> (<em>Tomorrow is Ours<\/em>), where he played the role of Dr. Renaud Dumaze in\u00a0over 500 episodes.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/uspropertymoves.com\/?p=701\">Tom Hardy \u201cRefused to Come Out\u201d of \u2018MobLand\u2019 Trailer, Kept Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren Waiting for Hours: \u201cCareer Suicide\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\tBesides <em>Emily in Paris<\/em>, his recent roles include an episode of the TF1 series\u00a0<em><q>Camping Paradis<\/q> <\/em>in 2025. Tributes poured in from fellow actors who appeared alongside Deny on screen after the news of his death. <\/p>\n<p>\n\tFrench actress and singer\u00a0Sylvie Vartan, who appeared with Deny in Isabelle Margault\u2019s\u00a0stage play <em>Ne Me Regardez Pas Comme Ca <\/em>in 2015, wrote in an Instagram post, \u201cSo sad to hear of the passing of Pierre Deny. I shared some great moments with him on stage in Isabelle Mergault\u2019s play. He was a generous actor and a sensitive and funny man. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this painful time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn another Instagram post, Luce Mouchel, who starred alongside Deny in\u00a0<em>Tomorrow is Ours<\/em>,\u00a0wrote: \u201cPierre, seven years of filming together, taking the train together, having lunch at the canteen together, sometimes confiding, inviting each other from time to time and congratulating you for your hidden cooking talent, meeting our girls, clapping at the theater, calling each other \u2018Doctor\u2019 usually, and I forget. A short decade of shared life that should not have ended so quickly and so brutally. I\u2019m thinking of your daughters and their exceptional courage.
