\n\tProduction has wrapped on writer-director Alec Bewkes\u2019 dark comedy Stockholm Squad<\/em>, The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> has learned. Parrish (Pretty Little Liars<\/em>, To All the Boys I\u2019ve Loved Before<\/em>), Leslie David Baker (The Office<\/em>), Erinn Hayes (Children\u2019s Hospital<\/em>) lead the ensemble cast that also includes Bewkes, Rizwan Manji (Schitt\u2019s Creek<\/em>) and Malia Pyles (Baskets<\/em>).<\/p>\n

\nStockholm Squad<\/em> centers on six kidnapped strangers who get locked in a basement and attempt to connect amid the chaos. The movie is described as a mash-up of The Breakfast Club<\/em> and 10 Cloverfield Lane<\/em>. <\/p>\n

\n\tBewkes makes his feature directorial debut with the indie film that he also wrote and produces for Hang Six Films. The project\u2019s producers include Bennett Cordon for Salt Cellar Films, alongside Thomas Cross. Lucas Ford and Colin Oh are executive producers. Hang Six Films handles sales for the movie that is currently in post-production after shooting in Los Angeles. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe goal was to make a feel-good comedy set in the last place you\u2019d ever imagine to really sell the story\u2019s message of hope and community,\u201d Bewkes says in a statement. \u201cI wanted to show that if kidnapped victims can find happiness in a dingy basement, then us surface folk can do the same up here.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBewkes helmed the short film Shut Up, Jack<\/em> that is set to premiere next month at the 2026 Tribeca Festival. He stars in the project alongside fellow castmembers Anand Mahalingam, Linnea Bullion, Ricky Wilson and Rahne Avant. <\/p>\n
