\n\tListeners are turning to Dolly Parton\u2018s music in droves after the beloved country icon died this week at age 80.<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to data Spotify shared on Wednesday, the streaming service said Parton\u2019s overall streams skyrocketed over 1,260 percent globally on Aug. 25 compared to the seven day average daily average from Aug. 18 to Aug. 24, and an even higher 2,320 percent in the U.S. alone. Seven of Parton\u2019s songs made it into the company\u2019s U.S. daily top songs chart yesterday, with \u201cJolene\u201d and \u201c9 to 5\u201d taking the No. 2 and 3 slots. \u201cIslands in the Stream\u201d jumped to No. 8.<\/p>\n

\n\tSpotify didn\u2019t share specific stream counts but provided percentage changes for many of Parton\u2019s top-streamed songs from yesterday. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cJolene\u201d streams jumped 630 percent globally and 1,225 percent in the U.S., Spotify said, while \u201c9 to 5\u2019s\u201d bumped 630 percent globally and 1,030 percent domestically. Given that some of her smaller hits weren\u2019t streamed as frequently prior to her passing, those tracks had much larger percentage jumps; \u201cMy Tennessee Mountain Home,\u201d for example, saw a massive 8,920 percent jump in the U.S. yesterday, while \u201cCoat of Many Colors\u201d saw a 5,330 growth. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn order of streams, Parton\u2019s most-streamed songs on Spotify yesterday were \u201cJolene,\u201d \u201c9 to 5,\u201d \u201cIslands in the Stream,\u201d \u201cI Will Always Love You,\u201d \u201cHere You Come Again,\u201d \u201cCoat of Many Colors,\u201d \u201cTyrant,\u201d Why\u2019d You Come in Here Lookin\u2019 Like That,\u201d \u201cMy Tennessee Mountain Home\u201d and \u201cThere Was Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tParton was one of the most beloved musicians in pop culture history, equally regarded as a performer and songwriter, also holding a legacy as an actor and Hollywood producer, philanthropist who helped millions of children learn to read, and a staunch advocate for the LGBTQ community.<\/p>\n

\n\tHer death has inspired a wide outpouring of tributes from collaborators and fellow entertainment fixtures including Jane Fonda, Taylor Swift, Beyonc\u00e9, Paul McCartney and Reba McEntire, among many others. Miley Cyrus, Parton\u2019s goddaughter, penned an emotional tribute Wednesday morning as well, writing, \u201cI have an angel by my side. I always have.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier Wednesday, Parton\u2019s estate had given some insight into how it will be handling the many projects Parton had started before her passing, also confirming there is a biopic, docuseries and scripted series in development. By the sound of it, even with Parton\u2019s death, there will be no shortage of work from her coming in the future.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDolly worked up until the day she died,\u201d Parton\u2018s longtime manager Danny Nozell said in a statement. \u201cShe loved seeing her dreams come to life and loved knowing her work brought people joy. Ever the planner, Dolly worked with the team that she handpicked for the past several years to build a project roadmap that will guide us for decades to come.\u201d<\/p>\n
