Grint begins in the role Feb. 2, 2027 for a 17-week run through May 30.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cRon Weasley has been a part of me since I was 11 years old and I can\u2019t wait to meet him again in this stage of life. There is something so full-circle and so special about stepping back into Ron\u2019s shoes now when we are both fathers; it is somehow both very familiar and completely new. And the joy of being back on Broadway, this time in a role that defined so much of my life is truly exciting,\u201d Grint said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHe is the second actor from the film franchise to join the Broadway play, after Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the films. In addition to his role in the<em> Harry Potter <\/em>franchise, Grint has continued onscreen working, including most recently starred in Hanna Bergholm\u2019s film <em>Nightborn<\/em> which premiered at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival. He also stars in Paramount Pictures\u2019 <em>Ebenezer<\/em>, which opens this fall. Previously, Grint starred in M. Night Shyamalan\u2019s <em>Servant<\/em> on Apple TV.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cIn joining our extraordinary company onstage at the Lyric Theatre in New York City, Rupert is not simply revisiting a role from his past.
