With the theme of \u201cFellowship Forever,\u201d this year\u2019s CCXP is held Dec. 3-6, and its full lineup will be announced soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tMonaghan made his feature acting debut as Meriadoc \u201cMerry\u201d Brandybuck in <em>The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring<\/em>, which was released in theaters Dec. 19, 2001, and also starred Ian McKellen, Liv Tyler, Viggo Mortensen, Sean Astin, Cate Blanchett and Orlando Bloom. Based on the writing of J.R.R. Tolkien, the New Line movie was the first in director Peter Jackson\u2018s trilogy that collectively surpassed $2.9 billion at the global box office and scored 17 Oscars.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cCCXP has a tradition of bringing together the iconic names who have shaped pop culture history, and Fellowship Forever is the celebration that\u00a0<em>The Lord of the Rings<\/em>\u00a0fans truly deserved.
