\nMichelle Pfeiffer is not ready to walk away from Hollywood just yet.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe French Exit<\/em> actress revealed that she will not be retiring during an appearance on The Tonight Show<\/em> on Thursday after previously claiming that she \u201cnever\u201d wanted to \u201cstar in another movie.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNo \u2026 I mean, it\u2019s the most ridiculous thing,\u201d she said when host Jimmy Fallon asked her about retirement. \u201cThey\u2019re always saying I\u2019m retiring. Where does it say I\u2019m retiring?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFallon reminded Pfeiffer that she \u201chinted\u201d at walking away from film earlier this month when she spoke at THR<\/em> x Apple TV\u2019s Leading the Narrative: The Women of Apple TV event.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI never want to star in another movie, I swear to God. I only want to do ensemble pieces,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cIt\u2019s so much more fun, I love it so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPfeiffer explained to Fallon that her previous comments were \u201ctaken out of context.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAll that I said was that I really love working with an ensemble cast,\u201d the Batman<\/em> actress shared, to which Fallon responded, \u201cDid you know you would get in trouble when you said that?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI knew the minute it came out of my mouth,\u201d Pfeiffer said. \u201cOf course, I want to star in another movie.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tPfeiffer received critical acclaim for her TV performances this year in Apple TV\u2019s Margo\u2019s Got Money Troubles<\/em> and Paramount+\u2019s The Madison<\/em>. The actress received an Emmy nomination for her role in Money Troubles<\/em>, which she also executive produced. Both series have been renewed for additional seasons.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s wonderful to be able to live with a character for such an extended period of time and you can really just go deeper and find all of the different layers,\u201d Pfeiffer said about working with an ensemble. \u201cBut it\u2019s also really wonderful and most important to me that I get to work with all of this talent.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tA three-time Oscar nominee, Pfeiffer is a celebrated film actress whose movie credits include Dangerous Liaisons<\/em>, Batman Returns<\/em>, Scarface<\/em>, Hairspray<\/em>, The Fabulous Baker Boys, The Age of Innocence <\/em>and the Ant-Man <\/em>trilogy.<\/p>\n
