\nCourtney Love is opening up about a health crisis she faced after moving to England in 2019, revealing that doctors told her she \u201cwas going to die.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Friday, Love took to Instagram to address questions about her long-awaited solo album. \u201cA lot of you are asking where my record is at. It\u2019s done. It\u2019s kind of been done,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s a really good record. I put a lot into it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe former Hole frontwoman then revealed that she faced a frightening health battle after moving from Los Angeles to London seven years ago.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen I went there, my body just exploded. It just exploded. And I was in hospitals a lot. I almost died,\u201d Love said. \u201cI lost all my hair. I was about 100 pounds. And they told me I was going to die. I didn\u2019t believe them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLove explained that her refusal to believe the doctors was connected to a childhood experience. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen I was a kid \u2014 I think this record is about this \u2014 I used to, like, pattern-interrupt the adults, and they\u2019d tell me \u2018red.\u2019 They\u2019d say \u2018red was blue,\u2019 and then I\u2019d see blue, but blue was blue,\u201d she said. \u201cSo now that I gaslight myself that maybe they were right and red was blue, and then I would see purple and my head would explode.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe continued, \u201cI never really lost my ability to see that fucking red was red, despite them telling me that red was blue. And so when they said I was going to die, I just didn\u2019t believe them. And somehow I got better. I\u2019m healthy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLove has faced other health scares over the years. In 2021, she revealed that she had nearly died from anemia. While in the hospital, she said she was \u201cstigmatized for being an addict\u201d by doctors.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for her music, Love also reflected on the 2010 Hole album Nobody\u2019s Daughter<\/em>, which she described as a \u201cflop,\u201d as she figures out how to roll out her new project. \u201cI will be back,\u201d she said of her music career. \u201cI just wasn\u2019t public about being sick. I\u2019m fine now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the post\u2019s caption, Love expressed her desire to return to the stage. \u201cI want to tour more than anything. & I want to sing. That\u2019s what keeps my soul & body happy,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n
