With two decades under their belt, the <em>Real Housewives <\/em>has only gotten more popular in culture (and ratings), creating iconic moments fit for television legacy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tBravo has marked the milestone by gathering an iconic cast for <em>The Real Housewives\u00a0Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th<\/em>, which premieres Sunday on Bravo, bringing together Vicki Gunvalson, Luann de Lesseps, Teresa Giudice, Kyle Richards, Porsha Williams, Gizelle Bryant and Lisa Barlow.\u00a0The women also marked the occasion with an in-depth sit-down for <em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>\u2018s cover story this week. But if the Television Academy gave away an award for trailblazing pop culture through unbelievable moments, this franchise would have the statuettes.\u00a0So to celebrate 20 years of the <em>Real Housewives, THR <\/em>decided to rank the franchise\u2019s most unforgettable moments, below.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<article>\n<h2>Honorable Mention: Leah McSweeney\u2019s \u2018RHONY\u2019 Run, Which Led to Her Lawsuit Against Bravo<\/h2>\n<p><!-- do not apply CSS styles to this element! --><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tLeah McSweeney may not have been a New York City Housewife for long, but her time on the show has made a profound impact on the <em>Real Housewives<\/em> franchise. After joining for season 12 of <em>RHONY<\/em>, Leah opened up about her struggles with alcohol; after being sober for nine years, she relapsed roughly six months prior to filming for the show beginning in 2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tLeah drank on <em>RHONY<\/em>, which led to several rampant moments on the show, notably including her drunken skinny dipping spree with Sonja Morgan and Tinsley Mortimer (when she threw the tiki torches), and another instance during the season 12 episode entitled \u201cHurricane Leah,\u201d where she got into an intense fight with Ramona Singer. Andy denied the allegations, and the lawsuit is now proceeding in federal court.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<article>\n<h2>Lisa Hochstein\u2019s Ex-Husband Dishes About His Mistress on a Hot Mic<\/h2>\n<p><!-- do not apply CSS styles to this element! --><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tDuring the second rebooted season of <em>The Real Housewives of Miami<\/em> (aka season five of the series), Lisa Hochstein\u2019s then-husband Lenny Hochstein delivered a scathing hot mic moment where he admitted he was cheating on his wife. The episode, literally entitled \u201cHot Mic in Miami,\u201d caught Lenny chatting to a friend while Lisa was busy hosting a party with her co-stars.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tLenny\u2019s friend began talking about how he was freshly single, to which he replied in a whisper, \u201cIn a couple months, I might be single too.\u201d The friend said he\u2019d heard about issues in the Hochstein marriage, to which his friend said, \u201cI don\u2019t want to see that happen,\u201d a la them splitting up.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cI do,\u201d Lenny responded, as he briefly spoke with he and Lisa\u2019s son before continuing with his hot mic. His friend asked, \u201cAre you still sleeping with her?\u201d Lenny confirmed he wasn\u2019t and when asked why not, he replied, \u201cBecause then I would be cheating on who I really care about.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cDoes she know?\u201d Lenny\u2019s friend asked: \u201cNooo. Nobody knows. Nobody. Nobody,\u201d although Lenny didn\u2019t realize he just spilled the beans to the entire <em>Miami<\/em> production team.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cYou\u2019re not mic\u2019d up, are you?\u201d his friend asked, as Lenny responded, \u201cYeah. Michael was charged in September 2018 with felony assault and misdemeanor improper sexual contact after a cameraman from the show alleged he grabbed his butt. In October of the same year, the charges were dismissed citing insufficient evidence.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHowever, discussion around the matter didn\u2019t end there, as Bravo aired footage taken during the alleged incident. In said clip \u2014 that was shown on <em>Potomac<\/em> \u2014 Michael can be heard laughing and telling the camera operator, \u201cHey bud? You alright?\u201d The cameraman then responded, \u201cPlease don\u2019t do that,\u201d to which Michael said, \u201cOkay.\u201d The cameraman repeated, \u201cPlease don\u2019t do that,\u201d and Michael, again, responded, \u201cOkay.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tWhile charges against Michael were ultimately dropped, the incident became a major talking point throughout <em>RHOP<\/em> season four. Monique was further upset that Candiace got closer with former <em>Potomac<\/em> Housewife Charisse, the woman who was spreading this gossip.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThey traded verbal blows throughout the season, however the conflict turned physical during a trip to a winery. Ashley Darby asked how they were doing, and the two women began discussing their problems, specifically a moment when Candiace claimed Monique had faked being asleep when she was leaving a cast trip so they wouldn\u2019t have to say goodbye. They started fighting about whether or not Monique was actually asleep, with Monique claiming their once friendship was actually a \u201cfacade,\u201d because communication was not reciprocated.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThey kept verbally arguing, and hands from both women began to wave. \u201cGet your hand out my face, you put your hand in my face \u2014\u201d Monique said, as Candiace asked, \u201cYou gone drag me?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cDo you want me to? Do you want me to?\u201d Monique replied, and she began flipping Candiace\u2019s hair, before she physically grabbed her hair, pulling Candiace forward. Bethenny Frankel, Ramona Singer, Carole Radziwill, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer \u2014 the golden <em>New York<\/em> City cast \u2014 were instructed to leave the island due to inclement conditions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tUnfortunately for them, they met up with those not-so-great conditions while on the boat, where the women were rocked by large waves. Literal chaos ensued on the yacht, as shots of the rocky waters were shown, alongside clips of Luann nearly falling over on the ground, Tinsley and Sonja fighting about if the conditions were normal or not, and Carole throwing up. Conditions were so rocky that production had to cease filming, which led to hilarious moments of the women recounting the traumatizing experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cWe all thought we were going to die at sea,\u201d Luann said in one clip. \u201cIt was so bad, even the cameras had to go down because they were holding on for dear life. Carving out another first season standout, the two got into it at <em>Atlanta<\/em>\u2019s first-ever reunion over Kim\u2019s relationship with the infamous Big Poppa.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tNeNe did not approve of the relationship, which Kim tried to keep secret, because Big Poppa was, in fact, still married. Kim told host Andy Cohen at the season one reunion that he was still \u201clegally married\u201d \u2014 with air quotes and all. Andy asked if any of the Housewives had met Big Poppa, to which NeNe responded that Kim had said he said some disparaging things about her, without even knowing her.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cHe doesn\u2019t even know me to say anything about me,\u201d NeNe said. \u201cThat you\u2019re trouble? After bidding goodbye to Jen Shah as she headed off to serve her prison sentence in 2023, Monica Gracia joined the cast, claiming she was an informant in Jen\u2019s legal case. She was, in fact, her former assistant, who secretly ran the Instagram troll account @RealityVonTease, which the rest of the Salt Lake City Housewives found out after forming bonds with her.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHeather had suspicions about Monica\u2019s intentions with the Housewives group, and confirmed on their final cast trip in Bermuda that she played a part in running the troll account, which teased the women throughout their tenure of Housewives. In a textbook <em>Real Housewives<\/em> ambush, Heather affirmed that she had Monica\u2019s own \u201cperfect formula\u201d for catching her in the act, reciting that she had the \u201creceipts, proof, timeline [and] screenshots\u2026 fucking everything to prove that you are a fucking bully and a fucking troll!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSocial media storylines have unfortunately taken over modern <em>Real Housewives<\/em> installments, but never has one made its way into the conversation quick like RealityVonTease. Both NeNe and Sheree wanted to speak with Kim, who was gossiping about her \u201cfriends\u201d behind their backs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tKim and Sheree went back and forth about whether or not the latter Housewife said NeNe was renting her home; things got heated and the ladies began yelling in a restaurant. But showcasing the \u201creal\u201d moments of the <em>Real Housewives<\/em> was taken to a different level when Vicki Gunvalson found out the devastating news that her mother had died on <em>Orange County<\/em>\u2019s tenth season. But no one has called it quits, baring literally all up to the moment of literally asking someone for a divorce on camera, like Tamra Judge. Another finale moment, this time for season five <em>Orange County<\/em>, Tamra and her ex-husband Simon were en route via limo for the final party of the installment when they began arguing about how much time she spends with their kids.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSimon brought up a specific instance when Tamra opted to spend time with Vicki Gunvalson instead of taking their children bowling, which she pointed out was for an event. \u201cI had an event to go to.
