\nBrittany Snow, one of the wives of twisty hit series The Hunting Wives<\/em>, has joined the cast of The Housemaid\u2019s Secret<\/em>, Lionsgate\u2019s sequel to its surprise hit The Housemaid<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tSnow joins a roll call that includes returning star Sydney Sweeney as well as new stars Kirsten Dunst and Paul Anthony Kelly (Love Story<\/em>). Michele Morrone will also return to star as Enzo, reprising his role from the first film.<\/p>\n

\n\tPaul Feig returns to direct the thriller. Producing are Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures, Laura Fischer and Feig, who produce for Pretty Dangerous Pictures, and Sweeney, producing through her Honey Trap banner.<\/p>\n

\n\tBased on Freida McFadden\u2019s second book in her\u00a0Housemaid<\/em>\u00a0series, Housemaid\u2019s Secret once again focuses on Millie Calloway, avenger of abused upper class females, who takes on attendant duties for a new (and, of course, wealthy) couple, cleaning their penthouse in the city. When Millie is not allowed to see her new employer, Mrs. Garrick, she immediately becomes suspicious of her husband.<\/p>\n

\n\tTwists and blindsides abound. All The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> can say is that Snow will play the role of a character named Marybeth. To say anymore would spoil the fun.<\/p>\n

\n\tA Dec. 17, 2027 release date has been set.<\/p>\n

\nHousemaid\u2019s Secret<\/em>\u00a0is due to being production later this year and the studio says it anticipates adapting even more of McFadden\u2019s beloved thrillers from the world of Housemaid<\/em> in the years ahead.<\/p>\n

\n\tScreenwriter Rebecca Sonnenshine, who adapted the first book, wrote the script for\u00a0The Housemaid\u2019s Secret<\/em>. Carly Elter, who oversaw the first movie for Hidden Pictures, is returning as executive producer. Alex Young of Hidden Pictures will also executive produce. Honey Trap\u2019s Kaylee McGregor will co-produce.<\/p>\n

\n\tChelsea Kujawa and Maria Ascanio are overseeing the film for Lionsgate.<\/p>\n

\n\tSnow has seen a career resurgence since appearing in Ti West\u2019s horror thriller X<\/em>. She recently appeared in Netflix\u2019s Emmy-nominated limited series\u00a0The Beast in Me<\/em> opposite Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys, Netflix\u2019s\u00a0The Night Agent<\/em>, and Hulu\u2019s\u00a0Murdaugh: Death in the Family<\/em> on top of the luridly fun Hunting Wives<\/em>.<\/p>\n
