\n\tIt appears the New Girl<\/em> cast and creator aren\u2019t exactly on the same page about the rumored reunion.<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter Max Greenfield, who played Schmidt on the hit sitcom, fueled speculation that the gang might be getting back together, creator Liz Meriwether playfully took to Instagram to offer her thoughts on the matter.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAs far as I know, it\u2019s happening,\u201d Greenfield recently said on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle<\/em> about a potential New Girl<\/em> reunion. He added that he\u2019s \u201cseen scripts\u201d Meriwether\u2019s written and that they\u2019re \u201camazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, according to Meriwether, Greenfield actually wasn\u2019t a big fan of her alleged scripts. \u201cMax told everybody that there\u2019s amazing scripts of a New Girl<\/em> reunion that I\u2019ve written. Um \u2014 and just an update on that \u2014 the scripts were pretty good until everybody just started giving me notes on every little thing,\u201d she joked.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe creator then went on to list all of the script changes that she claimed each actor requested. \u201cJake wants Nick to be, like, really thin \u2014 and wants to kind of be naked a lot, showing off his body,\u201d Meriwether quipped of Jake Johnson, who played Nick on the show. \u201cHe asked to have a dance number with him, fully nude, dancing to \u2018Levitating,\u2019 by Dua Lipa.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMeriwether said that \u201cit didn\u2019t really make any sense in the story,\u201d so she had to figure out a way to shut down Johnson\u2019s idea. She joked that he got \u201creally upset\u201d in response.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for Lamorne Morris, who played Winston Bishop, the creator quipped, \u201cLamorne keeps asking for more and more jewelry. For his character, he wants a very long chain, like a chain all the way down to his knees.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLastly, she said Greenfield \u201chas been very adamantly asking to be the new girl. Like, he wants the title to be, \u2018Max Greenfield is the New Girl.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAgain, I thought that would throw audiences and, you know, nobody really wanted that,\u201d Meriwether jokingly added. \u201cI wasn\u2019t going to say any of this publicly, but then Max decided to make it all public, so again, I have to comment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile there\u2019s been no official confirmation of a New Girl <\/em>reunion, aside from Greenfield trolling fans, it\u2019s safe to say no one will be returning to apartment 4D until they all get on the same page about these rumored scripts that everyone keeps talking about.<\/p>\n

\n\tJohnson also joked on his Instagram Story Monday that he thinks Greenfield was confused when he called the reunion scripts amazing. \u201cI think I figured out what happened with this Max Greenfield and the script thing for New Girl<\/em>. I just saw Liz Meriwether\u2019s new show, Furious<\/em>. I think Max read those scripts,\u201d he said. \u201cI totally get it. It happened to me too many times. I love you, Max, but that\u2019s a different show, my brother.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nNew Girl<\/em>, which also starred Zooey Deschanel, Hannah Simone and Damon Wayans Jr., ran for seven seasons from 2011 to 2018.<\/p>\n
