And it comes in the form of an envelope-pushing fairy tale.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe <em>Donkey Princess<\/em> focuses on Diana, the princess of an ancient kingdom, whose father, King Arthur, has forbidden love. That is why, when Diana falls in love with Lalo, the King simply banishes him. \u201cUsing a magical bracelet, Diana travels to other worlds in search of her love,\u201d explains a synopsis. \u201cDiscovering that her father manipulates her decisions, she must face her fears and change her destiny.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe travels that Diana embarks on allow Le\u00f3n and Coci\u00f1a to use the places she visits as a way to explore different film periods and genres. \u201cDiana travels through parallel worlds where each universe transforms the film\u2019s genre,\u201d the creative duo explains in a directors\u2019 note on the Locarno website. \u201cThe film brings this constant mutation of realities into live action, where fantasy reshapes everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/uspropertymoves.com\/?p=4781\">Locarno Pro Takes on the Big Issues: AI, \u201cAlgorithms and Consolidation Versus Creative Freedom\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe cast is led by Antonia Giesen and also features Andrew Bargsted and Francisco Melo. Alejandra Moffat co-wrote the screenplay for <em>Donkey Princess<\/em> with the directors. The movie, featuring cinematography by Benjam\u00edn Echazarreta, was edited by Soledad Salfate, Maria Salazar, Le\u00f3n and Coci\u00f1a. Bendita Film Sales is handling international sales.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201c<em>Donkey Princess<\/em> is our way of reimagining the history of fantasy cinema: a film that engages with this tradition while presenting our own vision of the genre,\u201d Le\u00f3n and Coci\u00f1a highlight in a directors\u2019 statement. \u201cIn <em>The Wolf House<\/em>, <em>The Hyperboreans<\/em> and in our short films, we have explored worlds where dreams and nightmares dominate the materiality of space, generating universes in constant construction, mutation and destruction. In <em>Donkey Princess<\/em>, we take these ideas and adapt them into a fiction feature film performed entirely by actors.
