Peacock has <em>Crystal Lake<\/em> for the U.S. and will be premiering the show stateside in October. <\/p>\n<p>\n\tPeacock\u00a0originally ordered the series\u00a0back 2022, with Bryan Fuller initially attached as writer and showrunner. But creative differences led Fuller to leave the project in May 2024, saying that\u00a0A24 \u201cdecided to go a different way with the material.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\n\tBrad Caleb Kane (Max\u2019s\u00a0<em>It: Welcome to Derry<\/em>) is now credited as creator, writer and showrunner on the series. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/uspropertymoves.com\/?p=4657\">NBCUniversal Finds New CFO As It Readies Spinoff<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n<em>Crystal Lake<\/em> stars Emmy Award nominee Linda Cardellini (<em>Dead to Me<\/em>, <em>Mad Man<\/em>) as Pamela Voorhees, the mother of the notorious <em>Friday the 13th<\/em> killer Jason. The series picks up a year after Jason\u2019s drowning death in the town lake. But the arrival of two strangers investigating her past sets off a series of events that prompts the residents of Crystal Lake to question who Pam Voorhees really is.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tWilliam Catlett co-stars as local police chief Levon Brooks. Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins and Gwendolyn Sundstrom co-star. Callum Vinson plays a young Jason Voorhees.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tKane is executive producing <em>Crystal Lake<\/em> together with A24 and an executive producing team that includes Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P.
