\n\tIt was \u201creally funny\u201d for Homer Gere and Kaia Gerber to be working together on The Shards<\/em> following their parents\u2019 romantic history.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile chatting with E! News<\/em> at the New York City premiere of Ryan Murphy\u2018s new FX series, both actors opened up about their experience sharing the screen 30 years after Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere divorced in 1995.<\/p>\n

\n\tCrawford\u00a0later remarried Rande Gerber in 1998 and they welcomed Kaia in 2001, while Richard Gere\u00a0and\u00a0Carey Lowell got married in 2002, two years after Homer was born. The latter couple ultimately divorced in 2016 and Richard has since tied the knot again with Alejandra Silva.<\/p>\n

\n\tHomer told E! <\/em>that it was \u201creally funny\u201d to jump into The Shards<\/em> with Kaia as they \u201chadn\u2019t met before shooting.\u201d He added, \u201cTwo weeks before we met at a bar with all the other cast and we became friends. From the inside, it\u2019s really normal.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe just became friends as coworkers before we started working, and she\u2019s become a really close friend. It\u2019s been lovely working with her,\u201d the Euphoria<\/em> actor continued.<\/p>\n

\n\tKaia echoed a similar sentiment on the red carpet, saying she had \u201cnever met Homer until we started filming,\u201d despite both their parents still working in the entertainment industry throughout the last three decades.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt was so lovely to work with him,\u201d the Palm Royale<\/em> actress added. \u201cHe\u2019s so wonderful. He\u2019s so funny. He makes me laugh so hard and he\u2019s the greatest scene partner ever. And really it\u2019s just such a supportive environment and we\u2019ve gotten so close over this process.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nThe Shards<\/em>, adapted from Bret Easton Ellis\u2019 book of the same name, follows a group of privileged high school friends as a serial killer strikes across Los Angeles in 1981.<\/p>\n

\n\tElsewhere on the red carpet, Kaia spoke with The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> about her reaction to when she first learned Murphy would be adapting Ellis\u2019 novel for the small screen.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m a huge Bret Easton Ellis fan and when this book came out, I read it immediately and read it over and over again,\u201d\u00a0she said. \u201cThen when I heard Ryan was doing it, I\u2019m also the biggest fan of Ryan. He gave me my first ever job. When he told me\u00a0he got the rights to it, I just got chills and teared up.\u201d<\/p>\n
