\nTom Holland is getting candid about the challenge of promoting a film that he wasn\u2019t exactly a fan of.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a recent interview on the Dish Podcast<\/em>, the actor said he\u2019s been \u201cabsolutely loving\u201d his press tours this summer for The Odyssey<\/em> and Spider-Man: Brand New Day<\/em> because he\u2019s really proud of those movies. But he can\u2019t say that about all<\/em> the projects in his filmography.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen you\u2019re doing press for movies you\u2019re really proud of, it\u2019s really easy,\u201d he explained. \u201cBecause when they ask you questions about why should people go and watch this movie, you\u2019re not lying to anyone. You really feel like people should go see it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve had experiences before when people say, like, \u2018Why should you see this movie?\u2019 And in the back of your mind, you\u2019re like, \u2018You shouldn\u2019t, because it\u2019s shit,’\u201d he added with a laugh.<\/p>\n

\n\tHolland didn\u2019t name the specific films he was referring to, as he would have much rather continued the high praise of his latest pics. \u201cIt\u2019s felt really like a bit of a victory lap, to be honest,\u201d Holland said of The Odyssey<\/em> and Brand New Day<\/em>. \u201cI\u2019ve really enjoyed it. I\u2019m super proud of both of the films.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Christopher Nolan-directed pic, based on Homer\u2019s ancient Greek poem, follows King Odysseus\u2019 (Matt Damon) dangerous voyage back to Ithaca after the Trojan War, including battles with mythical creatures, as he attempts to reunite with his wife, Penelope (Anne Hathaway), and son, Telemachus ( Holland).\u00a0The film also stars\u00a0Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron,\u00a0Lupita Nyong\u2019o,\u00a0John Leguizamo, Elliot Page,\u00a0Mia Goth, Corey Hawkins,\u00a0Jon Bernthal,\u00a0Samantha Morton, Travis Scott and Benny Safdie.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tSince The Odyssey<\/em> has already hit theaters \u2014 where it\u2019s been dominating, sailing past $600 million globally in its second weekend \u2014 The Crowded Room <\/em>actor has turned his attention back to Spider-Man<\/em> promotion, which releases on July 31. <\/p>\n

\n\tBut he\u2019s still grateful for everything he\u2019s learned from his Odyssey<\/em> co-stars throughout the film\u2019s respective press tour. \u201cI\u2019ve had the pleasure of sitting down with Anne Hathaway for the last three days and doing press with her,\u201d Holland said. \u201cFor me, that\u2019s been an awesome learning experience. She\u2019s such a pro.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for Brand New Day<\/em>, Holland reunites with his wife, Zendaya, onscreen and Jacob Batalon for the fourth installment. The film sees Holland\u2019s Peter Parker living entirely alone as Spider-Man in a world that doesn\u2019t remember him. That\u2019s until mounting pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him triggers a dangerous change, while a powerful new villain emerges.<\/p>\n
