She initially refused to exit the vehicle, saying she\u2019d been \u201cpranked\u201d in the past, according to the <em>Times<\/em> and <em>USA Today<\/em>. When she finally emerged roughly 10 minutes later, the officer noted her speech was slurred and her gait unsteady, according to reports, and said he smelled alcohol on her breath, according to <em>USA Today<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cHer eyes were also red and watery, and her pupils were dilated,\u201d the officer states in his report, according to <em>USA Today<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe officer told Spears she was being pulled over because she was \u201cswerving in two lanes,\u201d for which the musician apologized and said she was \u201con my phone,\u201d according to video of the arrest obtained by the <em>Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cYou can come to my house \u2014 I\u2019ll make you food or lasagna or whatever you want,\u201d she said, the <em>Times<\/em> and <em>People<\/em> reported. \u201cI have a pool.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tWhen she was being examined she would \u201ctalk nonsensically about things that did not pertain to the exercise,\u201d another officer who evaluated her wrote, according to the <em>Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/uspropertymoves.com\/?p=425\">Stephen Colbert Ends \u2018Late Show\u2019 With \u201cNormal,\u201d Star-Studded Episode, Joking the Pope \u201cCanceled\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\tWhile her breath tests showed blood alcohol concentrations of .05 and .06 percent, which are under the legal limit in California, she told officers she takes Prozac as well as Lamictal, for epilepsy and \u201cmood swings,\u201d and Adderall to stay \u201celevated,\u201d the <em>Times<\/em> and <em>People<\/em> reported. One officer who evaluated Spears concluded she was under the effects of a stimulant, according to the <em>Times, People<\/em> and <em>USA Today<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tWhen she was asked to go to a hospital to take a blood test, documents released by the CHP state, she became \u201cargumentative and belligerent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOfficers who evaluated Spears said she assumed different accents, sometimes using a childlike voice, during her arrest and had drastic changes in her demeanor, the <em>Times<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAt one point in the video footage obtained by the <em>Times<\/em>, while she was in the back of a police car, Spears said the officers are being \u201cmean to me\u201d and \u201clying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cI didn\u2019t have a DUI!\u201d she said. \u201cI wasn\u2019t even drinking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tLater she said she\u2019s \u201cscared\u201d and just \u201cwant[s] to go home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAfter she was released from jail the morning after her arrest, Spears\u2019 rep told <em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>that what happened was \u201can unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cBritney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney\u2019s life,\u201d the rep added, \u201cHopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.\u00a0Her boys are going to be spending time with her.
