\n\tOn Monday night, Chloe Fineman walked the carpet for new movie The Dink<\/em>, following two big pieces of career news in the last week \u2014 first, that she was leaving Saturday Night Live<\/em>, and second, that she would be joining Netflix\u00a0show\u00a0Myron Bolitar<\/em>\u00a0as a series regular. <\/p>\n

\n\tFineman had appeared on SNL <\/em>for seven seasons and wrote in her announcement post on Instagram that she \u201cdecided it\u2019s time for my next chapter.\u201d The new series \u2014 an adaptation of Harlan Coben\u2019s thriller novels about an NBA star-turned-sports agent that is being co-showrun by David E. Kelley\u00a0and Kyle Long \u2014 seems to be a big part of that next chapter, as she told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> at The Dink<\/em> premiere.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSeven years is kind of like the classic way [at SNL<\/em>], and then like right as my contract was up, this amazing David E. Kelly opportunity came in like completely out of the blue. I did a little chemistry read and it was off to the races; it just felt like a perfect time,\u201d Fineman explained. \u201cI\u2019m really proud of everything, but it\u2019s hard. I\u2019m genuinely really good friends with everybody and I genuinely like couldn\u2019t love that job more. So it\u2019s really bittersweet, but I\u2019m gonna be in New York. I\u2019m down the street. Maybe you\u2019ll see me.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tShe noted that Colin Jost had called her earlier that day because it was her birthday (\u201cI fully cried\u201d) and \u201ceveryone\u2019s like really reaching out. It\u2019s the sweetest show. It\u2019s a hard show, but the people \u2014 it\u2019s because of hours and everything. But like it really is a family, and I\u2019ve been crying like sweet tears.\u201d The comedian also added that she felt lucky to get to adjust to a more regular, non-SNL<\/em> schedule while also working on something she was excited about, with filming starting on Myron Bolitar<\/em> this week. <\/p>\n

\n\tAs for larger SNL<\/em> plans, Fineman said she was looking forward to \u201cjust stretching the TV wings and like who better than David E. Kelly. And I\u2019m really excited to like watch SNL<\/em> as an audience member [in person], which I\u2019ve never done.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tHer summer also includes the release of The Dink<\/em>, starring alongside Jake Johnson and Ben Stiller in a comedy about a washed-up tennis pro who tries to save a club by reluctantly playing pickleball. The movie premieres Friday on Apple TV. <\/p>\n
