\n\tThe @americanaatbrandmemes page has become a favorite of Angelenos, with frequently viral local jokes and memes about the Rick Caruso-owned outdoor shopping mall. The account has over 100,000 followers on Instagram and over 80,000 on X, and the creators behind it have maintained their anonymity throughout.<\/p>\n

\n\tNow the account\u2019s writers are taking their talents to the big screen, writing a heist comedy feature called Jay Pegs Auto Mart<\/em>. The film is based on true events and follows the story of NIMI.Global, a collective of crypto developers and performers who in 2021 launched Jay Pegs Auto Mart, a site selling NFTs of 2007 Kia Sedona minivans. The team sold $3 million in NFTs in record time, only to have the funds stolen almost immediately \u2014 leading them to launch a D.I.Y. investigation to recover their fortune before their minivan-fueled empire goes up in smoke. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe film will be directed by Kristopher Wile in his feature directorial debut, and is being produced by The Boldest \u2014 a media company founded by entrepreneur Saskia Clements \u2014 as well as Forced Perspective, a production company founded by Emmy-winning casting director Jazzy Collins.<\/p>\n
