\nWarner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios have The Batman<\/em> Part II<\/em> flying off to a new date, again.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film will now open on Feb. 18, 2028 in Imax, after being\u00a0previously slated for an Oct. 1, 2027 release. DC Studios had the film earlier set for a release date on Oct. 3, 2025, which had to be moved in the wake of the 2023 writers and actors strikes.<\/p>\n

\n\tWarner Bros. is now putting The Batman Part II <\/em>in the same corridor as\u00a0The Batman<\/em>, which nabbed the second best opening of the pandemic\u00a0with $134 million domestically,\u00a0on its way to a global haul of $770.3 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tOther calendar date changes at Warner Bros. includes Sam Esmail\u2019s\u00a0Panic Carefully<\/em>,\u00a0previously slated for a Feb. 26, 2027 release now delayed to an\u00a0April 9, 2027\u00a0rollout in Imax. Warner Bros. Pictures\u2019 and New Line Cinema\u2019s\u00a0Revenge of La Llorona<\/em>\u00a0will now open theatrically on Feb. 26, 2027 after being previously slated for a April 9, 2027 release.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd Warner Bros. Pictures\u2019\u00a0The Great Beyond<\/em>, the J.J. Abrams sci-fi fantasy starring Glen Powell and Jenna Ortega, will move from a previously scheduled Nov. 13, 2026 release to open in theaters\u00a0on Oct. 1, 2027\u00a0in Imax and with a two-week Imax 70mm run thrown in.<\/p>\n

\nThe Batman Part II,<\/em> directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell and Scarlett Johansson, will now get more time in post-production, according to Warner Bros., and a new release window that allows the film a domestic four-day weekend. The Batman<\/em> sequel also saw its start of production delayed five months due to the Hollywood strikes.<\/p>\n

\nThe Great Beyond<\/em>\u00a0will fill the date previously held by\u00a0The Batman Part II<\/em> as Abrams marks his first directorial effort since 2019\u2019s The Rise of Skywalker.<\/em> Panic Carefully<\/em>, described as a paranoid thriller reminiscent of\u00a0Silence of the Lambs, <\/em>stars Elizabeth Olsen,\u00a0Julia Roberts, Eddie Redmayne, Brian Tyree Henry, Ben Chaplin, Aidan Gillen, Joe Alwyn and Naledi Murray.<\/p>\n
