\nChelsea Handler is sharing her distaste for Shane Gillis and Tony Hinchcliffe\u2018s jokes at Netflix\u2018s Roast of Kevin Hart<\/em>, slamming them as \u201cracist,\u201d \u201cbigots\u201d and \u201csexist.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a Wednesday appearance on the Funny Knowing You<\/em> podcast with Deon Cole, the comedian said that she\u2019d received messages on social media about Gillis and Hinchcliffe from their alleged former partners. When asked what they told her, Handler said, \u201cIt\u2019s just everything we know, that they\u2019re racist, that they\u2019re bigots, they\u2019re sexist.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCole asked if Handler liked any of their jokes during the roast in honor of Kevin Hart, to which she responded, \u201cNo. I mean, it was ick. It was gross.\u201d She specifically called out a few jokes that Gillis and Hinchcliffe made during the Netflix special, with the first being Gillis\u2019 joke about lynching. (\u201cKevin is so short, you\u2019d have to lynch him from a bonsai tree,\u201d he said during the episode.)<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI don\u2019t find those jokes to be funny,\u201d Handler said. \u201cJokes about lynching Black people, lynching is not a joke. That\u2019s worse than rape.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tGillis shared a statement with The Hollywood Reporte<\/em>r on Wednesday in response to Handler\u2019s comments, which read, \u201cThis is a big moment for Chelsea. I am glad she\u2019s capitalizing. Good for her. We\u2019re all rooting for her. Anyway come see me\u00a0July 17 at\u00a0the football stadium in Philly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHandler also criticized Hinchcliffe\u2019s bit aimed at Sheryl Underwood, where he brought up her late husband Michael Sparkman\u2019s suicide. (\u201cHer husband committed suicide three years into the marriage. I\u2019ve been sitting next to her for two hours, and I have to ask, how did he last that long?\u201d he said during the roast.)<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI find that to be gross. I found them making fun of Sheryl Underwood\u2019s dead husband, who committed suicide, is gross,\u201d she said. \u201cYou know, she\u2019s fine with that. If she says she\u2019s fine with that, she\u2019s fine with that. I wasn\u2019t fine with that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tElsewhere, Hinchcliffe was largely criticized for his joke that referenced George Floyd. \u201cThe Black community is so proud of you,\u201d he said of Hart. \u201cRight now, George Floyd is looking up at us all laughing so hard he can\u2019t breathe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nTHR <\/em>also reached out to representatives for Hinchcliffe for comment, but did not hear back at the time of publication.<\/p>\n

\n\tHandler concluded, \u201cThere was so much disgustingness, that I knew it was gonna be a gross vibe that I would be able to elevate it no problem.\u201d<\/p>\n
