In the teaser (watch it below), a character speculates that \u201cIt\u2019s like someone put a curse on this town. It all started when that kid drowned last summer. There\u2019s something in these woods, and all it knows how to do is kill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n<em>Crystal Lake<\/em> centers on Cardellini\u2019s Pam, \u201cwho has been unable to shake her grief after her young, sickly son Jason tragically drowned in the town lake almost a year before,\u201d the show\u2019s description reads. \u201cWhen two strangers arrive at Pam\u2019s door digging into her past, a disturbing chain of events is set into motion, leaving the townspeople of Crystal Lake wondering: Just who is Pam Voorhees?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cShe\u2019s only in the [first <em>Friday the 13th<\/em> film] for the last little bit, but she leaves this impression on the entire franchise. There\u2019s so many movies subsequent that you\u2019d think Jason\u2019s always been in that mask doing what he\u2019s doing. But that wasn\u2019t the case,\u201d Cardellini told <em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> about playing Pam. \u201cIt just seemed like something that I had never done. I haven\u2019t seen that many female slashers like that.
