\nMobLand is pulling\u00a0Tom Hardy back in for the second season of the Paramount+ series set to premiere on Sept. 18, it was announced Thursday.<\/p>\n

\n\tBut the British star\u2019s future as Harry Da Souza for a likely season 3 renewal hasn\u2019t yet been made official. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIn season two of the Paramount+ original series\u00a0MobLand<\/em>,\u00a0the Harrigans struggle to show a unified front as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire \u2013 and Harry Da Souza, their street-smart and formidable \u2018fixer,\u2019 must walk a dangerous tightrope when tensions within the family intensify. As violence spills into every corner of their lives, loyalties snap, safety proves temporary, and the battle for power leaves no room for mercy,\u201d a synopsis from Paramount+ stated on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\n\tHardy\u2019s continued role as Da Souza remains in the air after his on-set behavior on the second season looks to have spooked producers. Hardy had apparently clashed with producers, including executive producer Jez Butterworth and others at David Glasser\u2019s 101 Studios, the production company behind\u00a0MobLand<\/em>, which is filmed across the U.K.<\/p>\n

\nMobLand<\/em> has yet to be officially renewed for a third season by the streamer, with production expected to resume later this year if that happens. Hardy plays the fixer for a powerful organized crime family headed up by\u00a0Helen Mirren\u00a0and\u00a0Pierce Brosnan as two mob families clash in a war that threatens to topple empires and lives.<\/p>\n

\nMobLand<\/em>\u00a0also stars Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon), Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey), Lara Pulver (Da Vinci\u2019s Demons), Anson Boon (Pistol), Mandeep Dhillon (CSI: Vegas), Jasmine Jobson (Top Boy), Geoff Bell (Top Boy), Daniel Betts (Fate: The Winx Saga), Lisa Dwan (Blackshore) and Emily Barber (Industry).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series is produced in association with MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios and is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.\u00a0MobLand\u00a0is executive produced by Keith Cox, Nina L.
