\n\tThe cat-and-mouse game of Nemesis<\/em> will continue for another season. <\/p>\n

\nNetflix has renewed the drama, created by Courtney A. Kemp (Power<\/em>) and Tani Marole, for a second season. The pickup comes about six weeks after Nemesis<\/em> premiered; the show spent its first five weeks in the streamer\u2019s worldwide top 10 for English-language series. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI feel blessed to get a season two. We thank the fans. It\u2019s because of them \u2014 there\u2019s no other reason,\u201d said Kemp, who is the showrunner on Nemesis<\/em>. \u201cIt\u2019s them showing up, them talking about it and their huge social media response. We are grateful to Netflix for recognizing the power of our audience and bringing us back for the fans.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAdded Marole, \u201cSeason two, we\u2019re very grateful to have it. We\u2019re going to make sure those questions get answered \u2014 and even more questions are available for you to answer. Make no mistakes, season two is going to be bigger and better.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nNemesis<\/em> stars Y\u2019Lan Noel as a master thief and Matthew Law as an LAPD detective obsessed with bringing him to justice. Cleopatra Coleman, Tre Hale, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jonnie Park, Ariana Guerra, Gabrielle Dennis, Michael Potts, Sophina Brown, Cedric Joe and Jeff Pierre also star in season one. <\/p>\n

\n\tKemp told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> that \u201cNetflix asked us to wrap it in a place where you wouldn\u2019t need a second season, and I was like, \u2018Bet, we\u2019re not doing that.’\u201d The season ended with Noel\u2019s Coltrane Wilder going on the run after Law\u2019s Isaiah Stiles let him go in order to save his son (Joe). Kemp declined, however, to elaborate too much on her season two plans to THR<\/em>, saying \u201cI think we have made it pretty clear that there are some more consequences coming for Stiles. And I think we have definitely ended the season where Coltrane\u2019s gonna have to go find his wife. And that\u2019s pretty much all I can say.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cCourtney and Tani have built something truly special with Nemesis<\/em> \u2014 a show that captivated audiences and never let go,\u201d said Nne Ebong, Netflix\u2019s vp studio scripted series for the U.S. and Canada. \u201cWatching the global response has been extraordinary; this series resonated with fans in a way that was electric and far-reaching.
