But he found comfort in knowing the series\u2019 ending in advance. <\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cWe\u2019re really lucky in that we had a buildup,\u201d he said. \u201cI knew for about two years when it was going to end and how it was going to end, so there was a lot of time to prepare.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHe added, \u201cI\u2019m going to miss these people so much, I\u2019m going to miss the set. <em>The Bear<\/em> set is so specific \u2014 it\u2019s incredibly detail-oriented and exacting, but also flexible and freeing. It\u2019s a hard thing to say goodbye to anything you love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tPremiering in 2022, <em>The Bear<\/em>, created by Christopher Storer, has followed White\u2019s Carmy, an award-winning fine-dining chef who returns to Chicago to transform his family\u2019s sandwich shop into a fine-dining restaurant following the tragic death of his brother Mikey (Jon Bernthal).<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAcross five seasons, the series became a cultural phenomenon. Its signature phrase, \u201cYes, Chef,\u201d entered everyday lexicon, while the show, its cast and creative team earned acclaim and numerous awards. White won two Emmys and three Golden Globes for his performance as Carmy, with the <em>The Bear<\/em>\u2018s success further elevating his career following his run as Lip Gallagher on Showtime\u2019s <em>Shameless<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tReflecting on the show\u2019s run, White couldn\u2019t choose just one defining moment.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cShooting the first season was really special. There were no expectations for the show, which was wonderful,\u201d White said. \u201cWe felt like we were really in our own world, and we could feel it was special, but it felt like it was still ours. Then, going to the Emmys and being with everybody a year and a half later for season one, that night when the show won, I won and Ayo [Edebiri] won. It was really unreal. We made this show and nobody knew it was coming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFor Edebiri, one memory with White stands out above the rest.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cWhen we got renewed for the second season, that was when it felt like people were starting to key in this way that felt bigger than any of us, and Jeremy and I were doing a photo shoot in New York on the street,\u201d she told <em>THR<\/em>. \u201cI remember we were both intermittently checking our phones and being like, \u2018Something is happening. What\u2019s going on?\u2019 It felt like people were being like, \u2018Wait, no, this is really cool. This thing that we shot in Chicago, and no one came and visited us, and we\u2019re like, \u2018Maybe it\u2019s gonna be on FX, now it\u2019s gonna be on Hulu. Maybe they hate it.\u2019 And it was the total opposite.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>[The remainder of this story contains spoilers from the series finale of <em>The Bear<\/em><em>.<\/em>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe finale brings closure to each of the show\u2019s central characters. Sydney (Edebiri) becomes head chef of the restaurant and earns two Michelin stars after Carmy decides to leave the restaurant industry behind and interviews for an internship at an architecture firm.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/uspropertymoves.com\/?p=2718\">\u2018SWAT\u2019 Spinoff \u2018Exiles\u2019 Finds a Home at Starz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cIn some ways, it was hard,\u201d Edebiri admitted of saying goodbye, before jokingly adding, \u201cMaybe that\u2019s me in a small state of denial, but I don\u2019t feel that sad somehow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOverall, she said she\u2019s \u201chappy\u201d and \u201csatisfied\u201d with how Sydney\u2019s story concluded.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cI felt satisfied when it happened. I haven\u2019t watched any episodes. So I\u2019m probably in a state of denial, because I\u2019m like, \u2018I can\u2019t watch it! I don\u2019t want to! I don\u2019t want to see it end!\u2019 But yeah, I\u2019m pretty happy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nEbon Moss-Bachrach, who plays Carmy\u2019s \u201ccousin,\u201d Richie, meanwhile, thought it was the right time for the series to end.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cThat family stays,\u201d he said of his castmates, \u201cbut I think it was time for the show to end. I really love the way the show ends. I feel good.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tRichie ultimately accepts an invitation to attend an international hospitality seminar in Japan, overcoming his fear of flying.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cPeople are never satisfied with anything, but I\u2019m satisfied with it,\u201d Moss-Bachrach said.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t*** <\/p>\n<p>\n<em>All episodes of <\/em>The Bear <em>are streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.
