Lindsey Liberatore, Amy Rardin, John Stephens and Grace Gilroy will executive produce.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cThe response to <em>Every Year After<\/em> has been truly extraordinary, underscoring the universal appeal of Carley Fortune\u2019s storytelling and the deep connection audiences have formed with the world of Barry\u2019s Bay,\u201d Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television, Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement. \u201cWe\u2019re incredibly grateful to Carley, Amy B. Harris, our exceptional cast and creative team, and the passionate fans who have embraced this series around the globe. We\u2019re excited to return to Barry\u2019s Bay and bring audiences another deeply emotional and unforgettable chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSadie Soverall, Matt Cornett, Michael Bradway, Aurora Perrineau, Abigail Cowen and Joseph Chiu star.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe series renewal was first teased during an executive panel on Friday ahead of Prime Video\u2019s Obsessed Fest with Friedlander. As quoted by <em>Deadline<\/em>, Friedlander said of another season, \u201cI hope to have news on that soon.\u201d He also acknowledged that \u201cone success begets another,\u201d when reflecting on how the success of their <em>Off Campus<\/em>\u00a0series adaptation impacted<em>\u00a0Every Year After<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSeason one of <em>Every Year After <\/em>followed Fortune\u2019s<em> New York Times<\/em>\u00a0bestselling story about how the relationship between best friends turned lovers Persephone \u201cPercy\u201d Fraser (Soverall) and Sam Florek (Cornett) once fell apart. A love story deconstructed and reconstructed across alternating timelines, their past becomes present when Percy returns to Barry\u2019s Bay, the lakeside town where she spent her summers as a teen, and first fell in love with Sam, to attend the funeral of the Florek brothers\u2019 mother. During pre-production of the show, Bradway, who portrayed Charlie in the series, told <em>THR<\/em> that he, Cornett and Soverall joined Harris in her office where she offered a blueprint\u00a0for her adaptation while expressing a desire to continue the story through\u00a0<em>One Golden Summer<\/em>, should the show get a second season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cObviously Charlie hasn\u2019t found his person yet, but we all know who that is,\u201d he told <em>THR<\/em> when addressing his character\u2019s grim cliffhanger ending. <\/p>\n<p>\n\tA renewal of the project is no surprise, given the fanfare surrounding the source material and the author.
