\n\tStarz announced Thursday that it\u2019s acquired the rights to Lauren Palphreyman\u2019s The Wolf King<\/em>, a steamy adult romance-fantasy that follow a princess who is kidnapped and held captive by a \u201cbrooding werewolf alpha\u201d amidst a war. Starz has optioned Palphreyman\u2019s sequel The Night Prince<\/em>, along with the series\u2019 upcoming third book, The Wolf Queen<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series finds Aurora, \u201cafter being abducted from a world that treated her as a decorative pawn, uncovering her own wild strength,\u201d according to the show\u2019s synopsis. \u201cEnsnared in a lethal love triangle, she is thrust into a war between humankind and her feral captors, forcing her to decide whether she\u2019s a prize to be claimed or the master of her own destiny.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSaracho has been tapped showrunner and executive producer, while Palphreyman boards as an executive producer. \u201cComing back home to Starz with The Wolf King<\/em> is a full-circle moment for me. This book has been my obsession since I first found it as an indie release over a year ago, and I\u2019ve been lovingly championing it ever since,\u201d Saracho said in a release. \u201cWhile Lauren Palphreyman\u2019s beautiful book series is an exciting departure from the genre I\u2019m typically known for, getting to adapt it for the network that housed Vida<\/em> for three seasons just feels destined to be.\u201d<\/p>\n
