UTA Says Yes and Launches The Culture Index<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe deal covers all media rights, with exact dates by territory still to be set. <em>I Know Who You Are<\/em> opened in China on June 19, taking in about $9 million for third place on its first weekend.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAdapted from Zhang Ce\u2019s 1992 novella <em>No Regrets Tracking<\/em> \u2014 earlier the basis for a well-regarded television series \u2014 the film is a decades-spanning cat-and-mouse story set in the early years of the People\u2019s Republic. Lei Jiayin plays a grassroots police chief who becomes convinced that a quiet local schoolteacher, played by Hu Ge, is a deep-cover spy, and spends the next four decades trying to prove it \u2014 a surveillance operation that slowly evolves into something closer to a personal relationship.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFeng is among the most commercially successful directors China has produced, with credits including <em>Aftershock<\/em>, <em>Back to 1942<\/em>, <em>I Am Not Madame Bovary<\/em>, <em>Youth<\/em> and <em>Only Cloud Knows<\/em>; China Lion released <em>Youth<\/em> in North America in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/uspropertymoves.com\/?p=2291\">Best Buy\u2019s Tech Fest Takes on Prime Day With Savings on Sony\u2019s Brand-New Bravia TVs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\tLei recently appeared in Zhang Yimou\u2019s spy thriller <em>Scare Out<\/em> and in Peng Fei\u2019s <em>Take Off<\/em>, which plays the New York Asian Film Festival next month. Hu starred in Diao Yinan\u2019s Cannes competition title <em>The Wild Goose Lake<\/em>, opposite Gwei Lun-mei. He also starred in Wong Kar Wai\u2019s acclaimed <em>Blossoms Shanghai<\/em> series. <\/p>\n<p>\n\tChina Lion picked up the film from Damai Entertainment, the studio behind both <em>Scare Out<\/em> and <em>Dear You<\/em>.
