\nBad Fairies<\/em>, the animated musical from Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation, has expanded its cast, adding rising British actor Serrana Su-Ling Bliss, acclaimed English comedian James Acaster and prolific voice performer Dee Bradley Baker. The trio join previously announced stars Cynthia Erivo and Ncuti Gatwa in the subversive fairy tale adventure.<\/p>\n

\nBad Fairies<\/em> director Megan Nicole Dong and co-director Olivier Staphylas announced the casting Monday at a Warner Bros. Pictures Animation presentation at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.<\/p>\n

\n\tBliss, set to voice Fei, has quickly built a reputation with standout roles in Enola Holmes 2<\/em>, Belfast<\/em> and Matilda the Musical<\/em>, as well as West End runs in Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em> and School of Rock<\/em>. She appears in the BBC\/HBO drama Industry<\/em> and the highly anticipated upcoming Harry Potter<\/em> TV series.<\/p>\n

\n\tAcaster, who will play Stickers, broke out with his Netflix stand-up special Repertoire<\/em> and HBO Max\u2019s Hecklers Welcome<\/em>, and is the co-host of the hit podcast Off Menu<\/em>. His screen credits include Taskmaster<\/em> and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tBaker, the voice of Groundbeef, ranks among animation\u2019s most in-demand talents, known for his vocal work as clone troopers in the Star Wars<\/em> animated universe \u2014 including The Clone Wars<\/em> and The Bad Batch<\/em> \u2014 as well as Klaus in American Dad!<\/em>, Perry the Platypus in Phineas and Ferb<\/em> and both Appa and Momo in Avatar: The Last Airbender<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe musical comedy follows a subversive gang of fairies as they shake up their magical world. Tony Award winners Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss (Six: The Musical<\/em>) are penning original songs for the feature. Grammy nominee Isabella \u201cMachine\u201d Summers of Florence + The Machine will compose the score and contribute to the songwriting, with Ian Eisendrath (KPop Demon Hunters<\/em>) serving as executive music producer.<\/p>\n

\n\tDeborah Frances-White wrote the screenplay. Carolyn Soper is producing, with a creative team that includes editor Sim Evan-Jones and cinematographer James C.J. Williams. DNEG Animation is handling digital production, with work currently underway in London.<\/p>\n

\nBad Fairies<\/em> is the first release under a new first-look pact between Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation. The film is expected to hit theaters on May 21, 2027. The next film under the pact, The Lunar Chronicles<\/em>, is slated for a Nov. 3, 2028 release.<\/p>\n
