\nLudacris revved up Fast & Furious <\/em>fans while celebrating the start of the 2026 World Cup.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe kickoff event for the Michelob ULTRA\u00a0Pitchside\u00a0Club took place Thursday at the Santa Monica Pier. Kevin Hart hosted the evening that included performances from Ludacris, DJ\u202fPee .Wee\u202fand Disco Lines and celebrated Michelob ULTRA as the official beer sponsor of FIFA World Cup 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m becoming a big fan of the sport, so I\u2019m honestly really thrilled to be here tonight,\u201d Hart told the crowd. In introducing Ludacris to the stage, the comedian said, \u201cHe\u2019s a friend, he\u2019s a brother, and \u2014 I\u2019ll say it again \u2014 he\u2019s an icon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLudacris\u2019 set included such hits as \u201cMove Bitch,\u201d \u201cArea Codes,\u201d \u201cWhat\u2019s Your Fantasy?\u201d and \u201cStand Up.\u201d He declared from the stage, \u201cWe are celebrating 26 years in the music industry,\u201d pointing out that his first album from Def Jam was released in 2000. <\/p>\n

\n\tDuring the concert, the performer \u2014 who is also known for an acting career that includes playing Tej Parker in the Fast & Furious<\/em> film franchise \u2014 introduced \u201cAct a Fool.\u201d The song was his single from the soundtrack of 2003\u2019s 2 Fast 2 Furious<\/em>, the movie that marked Ludacris\u2019 introduction to the series.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIf we got some Fast<\/em> fans, then when I say, \u2018Act a,\u2019 y\u2019all say, \u2018Fool,’\u201d Ludacris said. He then instructed his DJ, \u201cTake them to 2 Fast 2 Furious <\/em>for all of the Fast<\/em> fans in here tonight. Fast [11] <\/em>on the way!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn February, Universal\u00a0announced that the forthcoming sequel in the racing series is titled\u00a0Fast Forever<\/em>\u00a0and set for theatrical release March 17, 2028. Franchise star Vin Diesel also celebrated the news with a post at the time that read, \u201cNo one said the road would be easy\u2026 but it\u2019s ours.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a conversation prior to the event, Disco Lines told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> that he was honored to be among the entertainers for the soccer-focused party. Serving as a free social hub for soccer fans, the Michelob ULTRA Pitchside Club runs from June 12-25. Shay Mitchell, Brooks Nader and Tyler Cameron were among the notable guests at Thursday\u2019s kickoff.<\/p>\n
