\n\tFilm and TV studio Muse Entertainment has inked a first-look deal with The Walrus<\/em> magazine to expand into documentary and unscripted TV adaptations.<\/p>\n

\n\tMuse will mine unpublished stories from The Walrus<\/em> to possibly develop and produce timely documentaries and unscripted TV series for global audiences. The development partnership will include investigative journalism and coverage of social issues, culture, politics, science and business by The Walrus,<\/em> with discussions on potential projects already underway.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe expansion in unscripted fare follows Muse having a long track record in scripted event projects like The Kennedys <\/em>miniseries for Reelz, Starz\u2019s The Pillars of the Earth, ABC\u2019s Ben Hur, <\/em>WGN America\u2019s Bellevue\u00a0<\/em>and, more recently,\u00a0Coroner<\/em> for the CBC, Three Pines for <\/em>Amazon Prime Video and\u00a0Sullivan\u2019s Crossing\u00a0<\/em>for CW, Fremantle and Netflix.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe nonfiction space push by Muse, founded in 1998 by Michael Prupas and based in Montreal, follows the production banner hiring former Blue Ant Studios executive\u00a0Jennifer Harkness as senior vp\u00a0global development and partnerships, based in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
