That gets the Tribeca collaboration with Portugal\u2019s media players and filmmakers into the heart of Lisbon and filling movies theaters and cultural venues like Cinema S\u00e3o Jorge, Teatro Tivoli and Capit\u00f3lio.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe deal extension with Impresa also expands Tribeca\u2019s efforts to bridge a transatlantic rift between the U.S. and Europe with a mix of indie and local Portuguese film titles to take cinema in new directions in Lisbon. <\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cAt a time when the world can feel increasingly divided, storytelling remains one of the most powerful ways to connect people across cultures and experiences,\u201d Jane Rosenthal, co-founder of the Tribeca Festival \u2014 currently celebrating its 25th anniversary \u2014 and co-chair of Tribeca Enterprises said in a statement on Friday. \u201cTribeca Festival Lisboa was created to deepen those connections \u2014 bringing together filmmakers, artists, and audiences from around the world in one of Europe\u2019s great cultural capitals. We\u2019re proud to continue building that future in Lisbon alongside our partners at Impresa.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tTribeca Festival Lisboa also brings selections from the New York City-based Tribeca Festival for European and Portuguese premieres.
