This was always Dante\u2019s \u2018Divine Comedy\u2019 with guns and a red coat. Season 1 was Inferno. Season 2 was Purgatorio. Season 3 will be Paradiso,\u201d Shankar said. \u201cThese three seasons make up \u2018The Force Edge Saga.\u2019 Since inception, \u2018The Force Edge Saga\u2019 was designed as a movie trilogy disguised as a television series.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn <em>Devil May Cry<\/em>, \u201csinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms,\u201d Netflix\u2019s synopsis reads. \u201cIn the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSeason two of <em>Devil May Cry<\/em>, animated by Studio Mir, premiered on May 12. Season one appeared on Netflix\u2019s Global Top 10 for four weeks, and accumulated 21.7 million views in 2025. Sequels followed in 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2019.
