\n\tThe actor, who is also reprising his role in Matt Reeves\u2019 The Batman: Part II<\/em>, recently clarified during an interview with GQ<\/em> that he \u201cworked out every fucking day\u201d during filming for the 2022 movie, despite some people criticizing his body.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c[Everyone was like], \u2018You didn\u2019t work out at all.\u2019 I worked out every fucking day,\u201d Pattinson said. \u201cEven after that, I still look like I didn\u2019t work out. I worked out twice a day at, like, three o\u2019clock in the morning,\u201d Pattinson said, adding that he blames his past interviews for tough critiques of his Batman body. \u201cI\u2019m like, it\u2019s just because I said it in an interview [that exercise was uncool]. I was trying to sound cool!\u201d<\/p>\n

\nThe Drama<\/em> actor told GQ <\/em>that he has since installed a home gym inside his Beverly Hills house to train for The Batman<\/em> sequel, which is expected to begin filming soon. However, Pattinson didn\u2019t seem fully looped in on his upcoming filming schedule.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAnd I just heard from the stunt guy the other day. He said, \u2018Ooh, 11 weeks of nights.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Excuse me?\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018No one\u2019s even sent me a schedule,’\u201d he quipped.<\/p>\n

\n\tPattinson has been open about his thoughts on male body standards in Hollywood, previously admitting that he felt pressured to tone up himself after seeing other actors with six-pack abs, such as Taylor Lautner in the Twilight<\/em> franchise. \u201cI had never been so worried about that before, but after seeing how much Taylor works out for the movies, I thought, \u2018Well, everybody is really going to judge me now.\u2019 I always tried to think about positions where I could tense the muscles, and suck in my belly,\u201d The Odyssey<\/em> actor told Mexican magazine\u00a015a20<\/em> in 2011, via Glamour<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tYears later, in 2023, he said during an interview with The London Standard<\/em> that it\u2019s \u201ccrazy\u201d how actors are expected to undergo intense training for roles. He added, \u201cAnd it\u2019s very, very easy to fall into that pattern as well, even if you\u2019re just watching your calorie intake, it\u2019s extraordinarily addictive \u2014 and you don\u2019t quite realise how insidious it is until it\u2019s too late.\u201d<\/p>\n
