Set in the elite world of London law, War sees West starring as tech titan Morgan Henderson, while Miller portrays his estranged wife, and international film star, Carla Duval.

The series, which received a two-season commitment from HBO and Sky, kicks off with a “scandalous divorce case that sends shockwaves through boardrooms, bedrooms, and courtrooms alike,” according to a plot description. It features not only a couple splitting up, but also two prestigious rival law firms, namely Cathcarts and Taylor & Byrne, going head-to-head in headline-making showdowns.

Also featured in the show’s cast for season 1 are Phoebe Fox (The Great, Task) and James McArdle (Playing Nice, Mare of Easttown), who play partners in life and business at law firm Taylor & Byrne. Meanwhile, Nina Sosanya (Screw, Baby Reindeer) and Pip Torrens (Succession, The Crown) play their counterparts and rivals at law firm Cathcarts. Archie Renaux (Alien: Romulus, Upgraded) portrays an ambitious lawyer.

Ben Taylor (Sex EducationCatastrophe) directs War, which is co-produced by New Pictures (Catherine the Great, The Long Shadow) and Kay’s Observatory Pictures, in association with Sky and HBO.

War is a legal drama full of double-crossing, scandal, twists and betrayal,” Kay has previously said about the series, calling it “the kind of TV show that made me want to write TV shows.” Marisa Tomei, Kelly Macdonald, and David Harewood will lead season 2 of the legal drama.

War will air on Comcast’s Sky and streaming services Now/Wow in the U.K., Ireland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria, plus on HBO and HBO Max in the U.S. It will also stream on HBO Max in Australia. International sales for the series are being handled by NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution.
