“We want to clarify that Pierre “P” Thomas is alive and currently hospitalized receiving medical care,” Quality Control said in an Instagram post. “We ask that everyone keep P and his family in their thoughts and prayers and respectfully give them the privacy and space they need during this time. We deeply appreciate everyone’s concern, support, prayers, and loving energy right now.”

TMZ reported earlier Friday that Thomas is being treated in the ICU at a hospital in Las Vegas, with members of his family beside him.

Quality Control is a power-player in the hip-hop world, with Thomas co-founding the record label and artist management company with Kevin “Coach K” Lee in 2013. Quality Control’s roster has included the likes of Migos, Cardi B, City Girls, Lil Baby and Lil Yachty among others.

The company sold to the then-Scooter Braun-led Hybe America back in 2023 for about $300 million. “P and I are ecstatic about this partnership with Scooter and HYBE and are confident they can get us to our global ambitions we’ve had in our scope since the beginning of the company as nothing means more than our artists impacting worldwide,” Lee said in a statement at the time. “Over many years, Scooter and I have cultivated real trust and a common way of looking at the world and culture.”
