‘Scrabble,’ ‘Trivial Pursuit’ and ‘Police 24/7’ Renewed at The CW
Viewers will be seeing more of Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit and Police 24/7 on The CW stations — and not just in primetime.

The network has renewed all three series for additional seasons. Game shows Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit have each been renewed for a third season, while Police 24/7, a Cops-like series that embeds camera crews with police officers, will run through a fourth season.
Additionally, all three shows are set to enter broadcast syndication in the fall, with clearances in about 85 percent of the country. Nexstar, which also owns The CW, is among the station groups picking up the syndicated runs.
In primetime, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit and Police 24/7 all air as hour-long episodes, but they would all be able to fit into half-hour slots in syndication. Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit feature two half-hour games per episode, and Police 24/7 could be edited into 30-minute chunks as well.
The three shows were among The CW’s top five entertainment programs last season (though nothing on the network, outside of a few sports telecasts, averaged more than 1 million viewers without streaming). The second seasons of Scrabble, hosted by Craig Ferguson, and Trivial Pursuit, hosted by LeVar Burton, are scheduled to resume on Oct. 1. Dates for their third seasons and seasons three and four of Police 24/7 will be announced later.
Hasbro Entertainment, The CW, Mattel Television Studios and Lionsgate Alternative Television produce Scrabble. Hasbro Entertainment, The CW and Lionsgate Alternative are also behind Trivial Pursuit, along with Talpa Studios. Police 24/7 is executive produced by SallyAnn Salsano, Stijn Bakkers, Don Sikorski, Russell Muth, Frank Miccolis, Dave Hamilton and Josh Lansky.
