With the fourth installment of Mike White’s HBO drama set to take place in Château de la Messardière in Saint-Tropez, France, the confirmed list of people appearing in the upcoming season has fully trickled in. Over two dozen have been announced as part of the upcoming cast, and per HBO, casting is officially completed.
HBO notoriously doesn’t share many details about upcoming seasons (a logline detailed that season four will “follow a new group of White Lotus hotel guests and employees over the span of a week,” as expected). So each new cast member announced as part of the new season is enough to ignite fanfare and anticipation surrounding the upcoming installment.
Helena Bonham Carter was one of the early stars slated to appear on season four of The White Lotus, though shortly after production kicked off in France, the Oscar nominee departed the series.
“With filming just underway on season four of The White Lotus, it had become apparent that the character which Mike White created for Helena Bonham Carter did not align once on set,” an HBO spokesperson shared in a statement with The Hollywood Reporter in late April, adding that the role would be rethought, rewritten and recast. Oscar and Emmy winner Laura Dern subsequently stepped into a new part in the upcoming installment following Carter’s exit.
With the full slate of guests finally revealed, THR has assembled a lengthy list of all the cast members appearing in The White Lotus season four.
This story was originally published on Jan. 31 and has been updated as new castings are announced.
