Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman, Schmigadoon!, The Lost Boys and Ragtime were the big winners at the 2026 Tony Awards.

Death of a Salesman won the most awards of any production Sunday with six Tonys. The Scott Rudin-produced revival is directed by Joe Mantello and stars Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf and Christopher Abbott. Mantello won for best direction, and Metcalf won for lead actress in a play.

Schmigadoon! and The Lost Boys were tied with the most Tony Awards nominations going into Sunday night’s ceremony with 12 apiece and they left tied as well, with four awards each. Schmigadoon! also won best musical. Also winning four awards was 11-time nominee Ragtime, winning the Tony for best musical revival.

Best play went to Liberation, but alas that was the only Tony it won.

Cats: The Jellicle Ball, which went into the 2026 Tonys with nine nominations, won three awards.

Pink hosted the main Tony Awards ceremony, airing live on CBS coast-to-coast and streaming on Paramount+, from Radio City Music Hall. The first batch of awards was presented in the Act One preshow hosted by Laura Benanti and Tituss Burgess.

In addition to the competitive awards, this year’s 79th annual Tony Awards ceremony featured performances celebrating the anniversaries of The Book of Mormon, Chicago and A Chorus Line.

Read on for a complete list of this year’s winners.
