Seth Rogen to Reboot ‘Littlest Hobo’ Dog Drama in Canada
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are set to revive the classic 1980s family drama The Littlest Hobo for Crave in Canada.

The partnership on the live-action drama between Point Grey Pictures and Lionsgate Canada follows their collaboration on Apple TV’s The Studio. Rogen’s Hollywood-sendup series came away from the 2025 Emmy Awards with the best actor, best writing and best directing for a comedy series for The Studio, and the best overall comedy prize.
The reimagining of The Littlest Hobo series about an ownerless German Shepherd who wanders about helping people in need ran from 1979 to 1985 on the CBC. The revival is the first project to come from a deal between Bell Media, parent of Crave, and Lionsgate Canada and Point Grey Pictures. Rose Oushalkas and Christopher Dew of New Hobo Productions are behind the project.

“The Littlest Hobo was a foundational show of our childhood. We are thrilled to have the honor of bringing it back for a new generation alongside our partners at Crave. And though the hobo may be little, we promise big things to come. That doesn’t mean the dog will be huge like Clifford. The hobo will still be little. But the adventures will be Big,” Rogen and Goldberg said in a statement.
“We’re thrilled to build on our partnership with Point Grey and Bell Media to bring a fresh new take on this beloved property to Canadian audiences,” Lionsgate Television Group executive vp and head of scripted development Scott Herbst and Lionsgate Canada Television president Jocelyn Hamilton said in a statement.
Casting, production and launch details on the revival have yet to be announced.
